Job Description:
US Foods, a leading foodservice distributor in America, is
seeking a highly skilled Senior Fleet Mechanic to join our
transportation team. This role is pivotal in maintaining the
operational efficiency of our fleet, ensuring all vehicles are in
top condition to meet the delivery needs of our numerous clients.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical expertise in
vehicle repair and maintenance, coupled with a commitment to safety
and quality. Perform routine and emergency maintenance on a variety
of company vehicles, including trucks and other transport vehicles.
Diagnose mechanical issues and determine the best course of action.
Lead and mentor junior mechanics, fostering a collaborative team
environment. Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory
requirements. Maintain logs of vehicle service and repairs.
Collaborate with fleet management to optimize maintenance
procedures and reduce downtime. Profound knowledge of diesel
engines and hydraulic systems. Strong troubleshooting and
diagnostic skills. Experience with electronic management systems
and other diagnostic tools. Ability to lead and manage a team.
Excellent time management and communication skills. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k ASE
Certification (Automotive Service Excellence). CDL (Commercial
Driver’s License) is beneficial but not required.
