Job Description:

Purpose of Position:Graveyard Shift

Perform basic assembly steps for prepping, testing and packaging assigned components.

Essential Functions:

¿ Perform basic kit prep and kit audits of materials.

¿ Perform basic soldering prep by manually removing cable jacket and stripping wires, or ribbonization and jacketing, if applicable to value stream.

¿ Perform solder prep by stripping wires using a laser stripper.

¿ Crimp ferrules using both a hand crimper and a pneumatic crimper.

¿ Perform electrical capacitance and high voltage testing on sub-components as well as final assemblies.

¿ Perform basic camera testing on sub-components and final assemblies.

¿ Perform vacuum pressure testing on sub-components and final assemblies.

¿ Perform cleaning and packaging steps for final assemblies.

¿ Understand and correctly execute to TE Workmanship Standards.

¿ Understand and correctly execute Shop Floor Control. (Q-PR-70034)

¿ Ability to read and understand Bill of Materials and Routers.

Depending on which value stream the operator belongs to, skill requirements listed above might be waived. When assessing Operator Level, if the operator does not possess a skill listed here, that requirement should be waived if the specific Value Stream skill matrix does not require it.

Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Education:

¿ HS Diploma or GED required

¿ 1-2 years previous experience in similar production manufacturing environment

¿ Ability to correctly distinguish colors.

¿ Hand and finger dexterity required to manipulate very fine wires and parts.

¿ Ability to stand for up to 75% of the shift if required.

¿ Ability to read and understand written English Assembly Instructions.

¿ Ability to accurately understand English verbal instructions.

¿ Basic math skills to include addition, subtraction, decimals and fractions.

¿ Basic understanding of rulers and micrometers.

¿ Ability to function in a team environment and take direction from others.
