At US Foods, a pivotal provider in the foodservice industry, we are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to ensure the optimal functioning of our transportation fleet. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic tests on diesel vehicles, handling repairs, and conducting routine preventative maintenance. This role is crucial in ensuring that our fleet, which is vital for the daily delivery of over 350,000 products to our clients across the nation, remains operational, safe, and reliable. Your expertise will help us maintain the high standard of operational efficiency and contribute directly to the success of our partners within the restaurant and foodservice sector. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on a variety of diesel engines Diagnose and repair any issues found in diesel vehicles Regularly test diesel equipment and vehicles for performance and manage maintenance records Collaborate with the logistics team to schedule repairs and regular maintenance Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards Stay updated with developments in diesel engine technology and apply new knowledge to daily tasks In-depth knowledge of diesel engine components and operational standards Ability to use diagnostic equipment Strong problem-solving skills Effective communication and organizational skills Hands-on experience with diesel engine repairs and maintenance Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k ASE Diesel Certification Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
