Tact Staff is seeking a travel nurse RN SICU - Surgical
Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Springfield, Oregon.Job
Description & Requirements
RTO Restrictions: Traveler are there to fill the gaps. 3 shifts or
RTO allowed. Must work a total of 13 working weeks.
Start Date: 4/29
Shift: 3x12 Nights (1)
Ratios: 2:1, 1:1, 1:2
Years of Experience REQ: Minimum one year of Critical Care
experience required. Management of ventriculostomy, EVD, and ICP.
Nursing care of patients with non-traumatic ICH, non-traumatic SAH,
seizures. Nursing care of patients post tPA, thrombectomy, aneurysm
coiling, carotid artery stenting and intra-cranial stenting.
Management of blood pressure abnormalities with parenteral
vasoactive agents. Completion of complex neurological
assessments/scales. Previous ICU experience required.
Epic Experience REQ? 1 year of Epic experience is required.
First-Timers Accepted: Previous travel exp strongly preferred if
strong ICU exp is limited
Weekend REQ: TBD
Certs REQ: BLS, ACLS, TNCC or TCAR, NIHSS;
Skills REQ: Tele Interpretation, Ventilators, IV Insertion, PICC
lines; Preferred Skills: High Freq/Oscillators, Nitric Oxide, PA
lines, Dialysis, ICP Monitoring
Is on-call REQ? No
Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes, will
float between SICU, MICU, and ER holding (will only be working
within their skillset as it is an inpatient holding area).
Open to accommodating block schedule? TBD
Locals Accepted: Yes
Pending License Accepted: Yes
Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
Top 10 Diagnosis/Procedures: CABG, level 2 Trauma, ELVO, Donor,
Neurosurgery, MI, Acute Stroke, Post cardiac arrest, post-surgical
care (Whipple, Liver resection, amputation, etc.).
Any special procedure done on the unit? Insertion of Chest tubes,
central lines, PICCS, bedside tracheostomy, Keo tube placement, IO
insertion, Codes, Massive transfusion team, back up for Hospital
Cardiac Arrest Team, and back up for Rapid Response Team,
intubation, and insertion ventric, Cardiac cooling catheter,
cardias cooling pads, removal of femoral and raial sheaths.
Common Equipment: Ventric, Bolts, Pa Caherters, right and left
Impellla, Cheeta, CRRT, and IABP, and Zoll cooling catheter, and
Atric Sun pads.
