Description:Job Summary: Assists in the medical care and treatment of students. Duties/Responsibilities:

• Conducts a cursory health evaluation of new students. Includes, but not limiting to:
• Measures and records student vital signs, conducts hearing and vision screening, obtain and test urine, apply, read, and document results of PPD's.
• Performs phlebotomy procedures and collects specimens as required by National Job Corps Protocol.
• Administers medication, monitors, and follows up to observe students. Reports on adverse reactions to medication to the Health and Wellness Manager (HWM).
• Assists with scheduling and follow up of medical appointments on center and community appointments.
• Coordination of Chronic Care Management Plans for students with chronic illnesses
• Serves as Co-Disability Coordinator, managing and providing medical accommodations to students.
• Assists HWM with Applicant File Review
• On-call support required
• Supports Healthy Eating Active Lifestyles (HEALS) committee and activities.
• Attends required staff training sessions.
• Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements:Qualifications:Minimum: High school graduate plus State RN license. Must have active, unrestricted licenses, and work within scope of their license. Preferred: One year nursing experience, plus Job Corps experience desirable.Knowledge: Sound nursing techniques. Ability to relate effectively to student population. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Good organizational skills. Ability to carry out instructions without constant supervision.
