per week About the Position Job Title: Sterile Processing
Technician (SPT) – Night Shift Location: Address: Portland, OR Job
Type: 13-Week Contract | Full-Time | Nights Shift: Night Shift
(5x8-Hour) | 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM Job Summary: We are seeking a
reliable and self-sufficient Sterile Processing Technician (SPT)
for a night shift contract role. You’ll play a vital role in
maintaining the sterile integrity of surgical instruments across
multiple specialties, including ENT, OB/GYN, Plastics, Urology, and
Orthopedics. Ideal candidates will be able to work independently
with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities: Decontaminate and
sterilize surgical instruments and equipment using washers,
sterilizers, and HLD techniques Assemble instrument trays and case
carts accurately Monitor chemical and biological indicators for
sterilization validation Support departments including General
Surgery, OB/GYN, ENT, Orthopedics, Urology, and Plastics Maintain
documentation and follow proper labeling and wrapping procedures
Ensure compliance with IUSS and steam sterilization standards
Requirements Required Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of sterile
processing experience Ability to work independently without direct
supervision Knowledge of Epic charting system (preferred) Either
CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA certification (preferred but not required)
Familiarity with instrument processing protocols and specialty
trays Work Environment: Short Term Acute Care Facility with 418
staffed beds Scrub color: Any color (OR-provided if needed) Free
employee parking Non-teaching facility No weekend or on-call shifts
required
