Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: MRI Technologist Specialty: MRI Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Oregon State (OBMI) license in MRI Certifications: BLS, ARRT certification in MRI Must-Have: At least 3 years of experience, preferably on GE scanners Description: Department: Radiology Unit Notes: This department has 1 scanner/room. Staff will not have to float or cover any other areas. Common types of imaging/studies performed include MSK, MRA, abdomen, head, carotids. Average number of scans/studies performed daily is 12. The department uses PACS - McKesson and RIS - Meditech. Department specific equipment includes GE 1.5T. Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech is available. Registered Radiology Assistants are utilized. Radiologists are in-house. IV starts are required. Scheduling is from Tuesday to Friday, 9 AM to 7:30 PM. There is no weekend requirement. Holiday on-call is required. Scrubs are supplied by the department. Department specific orientation will be performed on the first day. The MRI technologist will be solo from 3 PM to 7:30 PM, with others available for assistance in moving and dedicated imaging transportation. Notes were last updated on 4-21-25.
