Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Certified Surgical Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Surgical Technician – Operating Room (OR) Location: Valley View Medical Center, Arizona Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Day Shift) Position Summary: Valley View Medical Center is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Operating Room (OR) Technician to support surgical teams in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing the OR, assisting during procedures, and ensuring a sterile environment throughout the surgical process. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare operating rooms for surgery by setting up instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies. - Assist surgeons and nurses during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field. - Ensure proper handling and care of surgical instruments and equipment. - Monitor and maintain aseptic technique throughout procedures. - Clean and restock the OR after surgeries. - Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency. - Adhere to hospital policies, infection control standards, and regulatory guidelines. Qualifications: - Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program required. - Certification (CST) preferred or required depending on state/hospital policy. - BLS certification required. - Previous experience in an OR setting preferred. - Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
