Location: Facility in Salem, Oregon Job Details Fusion Medical
Staffing is seeking a skilled Dosimetrist for a 13-week travel
assignment in Salem, Oregon. As a member of our team, you'll have

Successful completion of an accredited Medical Dosimetry Program
Two years of recent experience as a Radiation Dosimetrist Current
BLS certification ( AHA/ARC ) Preferred Qualifications: Current
Certified Medical Dosimetrist Certification Other certifications
and licenses may be required for this position Summary: The
dosimetrist is an integral member of the radiation oncology team
working in collaboration with the physicist and radiation
oncologist. Utilizing expertise in radiation physics, anatomy, and
radiobiology, the dosimetrist ensures precise and safe delivery of
therapeutic radiation while prioritizing patient safety and
compliance with regulatory standards. Essential Work Functions:
Design radiation treatment plans to deliver precise levels of
radiation doses with optimal beam geometry Identify and contour
normal and dose-limiting structures by utilizing images from one or
more data sets Assume proficiency in image registration with
various image data sets to include CT, MRI, and PET Create and
transfer reference images and localization markers for portal
verification and treatment delivery Supervise, perform, or assist
in simulations and tumor localization using specified imaging
devices Supervise, perform, or assist in the planning and
implementation of the fabrication of compensation filters, custom
shields, wedges, and other beam-modifying devices Communicate with
the radiation therapist and assume an advisory role in the
implementation of the treatment plan Perform calculations for the
accurate delivery of the prescribed radiation dose Provide
assistance and technical support to the Physicist in radiation
safety and protection, qualitative machine calibrations, quality
assurance of treatment plans, and radiation oncology equipment
Supervise, perform, or assist in the application of specific
methods of patient and/or beam dosimetry as directed by the
Physicist Assist in brachytherapy procedures by performing
treatment planning and dose calculations Utilize radiation
monitoring devices to measure radioactivity and perform assays
Document all pertinent information in patient records Perform other
duties as assigned within the scope of dosimetry practice Required
Essential Skills: Critical thinking, service excellence, and good
interpersonal communication skills The ability to read, write, and
communicate in the English language Ability to read/comprehend
written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency
in PC skills Physical Abilities - Must be able to remain in a
stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push,
pull, and bend Interpersonal Skills - Must be able to work
effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and
ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
Technical/Motor Skills - Must have the ability to grasp, perform
fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with
procedures and/or using department equipment Mental Requirements -
Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public
and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able
to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working
without assistance from other personnel. Must be able to contend
with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous
concentration to detail Sensory - Must possess visual acuity and
