working with Cynet Health to find a qualified EP Lab RN in
Portland, Oregon, 97239! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession:
Nursing Specialty: Electrophysiology Lab Duration: 13 Weeks Shift:
Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 3 years nursing experience with
an emphasis on adult cardiovascular patient care License: RN
license for the relevant states Certifications: BLS, BSN or higher
Must-Have: Experience and familiarity with cardiovascular
implantable electronic devices Description: Must have experience
and familiarity with cardiovascular implantable electronic devices.
BLS certification required. BSN or higher degree is preferred. RN
license for the relevant states is mandatory. Three years of
nursing experience with an emphasis on adult cardiovascular patient
care is required. Working with various members of the
multi-disciplinary team in delivering outpatient care to patients
with cardiac devices. Conduct interviews with patients, families,
and other healthcare agencies to obtain past medical records and
social and medical history. Assess patients' understanding of the
plan of care regarding cardiac monitoring devices. Independently
perform cardiac device interrogation in the outpatient setting.
Problem-solve device function, settings, arrhythmia episodes, and
interventions. Work closely with the interdisciplinary team,
ensuring quality card device and medical follow-up care. Analyze
clinical data and compose written management summaries, clinic
visit notes, and letters. Triage patient clinical concerns,
symptoms, or other relevant data in relation to their cardiac
device care. Communicate and problem-solve with team members to
address complex patient care issues and device functions. Educate
patients and families regarding all aspects of disease management
and diagnostic device management follow-up. Proactively review
patient schedules to ensure efficiency in clinical workflows and
identify potential conflicts. Ensure appropriate resources are
available to support patient care and procedures in the outpatient
setting. Educate patients and families on signs and symptoms that
require follow-up communication. Collaborate with medical staff and
other healthcare entities to facilitate patient and family needs.
Assist with data collection and analysis to support charting
platforms, national registries, process improvements, and quality
initiatives. Assist with managing device alerts, advisories, and
recalls in partnership with multidisciplinary teams and vendors. 5
