Ultrasound Tech Location: Portland, OR Agency: SnapCare Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: 4 days x 10 hours Start Date: 6/1/2026 About the Position Ultrasound Technologist Location VA Portland Health Care System 3710 SW U.S. Veterans Hospital Road Portland, OR 97239 May be asked to float to sister campus: 1601 E. Fourth Plain Blvd, Vancouver, WA 98661 Must be local Shift Information • Shifts will vary by location and facility needs • 8-, 9-, or 10-hour shifts available Pay Rate • $49.21 per hour Assignment Overview The Ultrasound Technologist will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in a hospital setting in support of Veteran patient care . This allied travel assignment requires strong vascular experience, recent hospital work, and the ability to perform complex ultrasound procedures in an acute care environment. Key Responsibilities • Perform routine and advanced ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, pelvic, vascular, and specialty studies • Perform vascular ultrasound procedures in a hospital lab setting • Operate ultrasound equipment using established imaging protocols • Ensure patient safety and compliance with ultrasound standards • Prepare patients, verify identity, and explain procedures clearly • Assist with and perform ultrasound-guided biopsies as required • Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records in electronic systems • Perform routine equipment checks and maintain a clean, safe work environment • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams • Float between Portland, OR and Vancouver, WA campuses as needed Requirements Qualifications & Experience Requirements • ARDMS certification required • AB (Abdomen) certification required • Two (2) additional ARDMS specialties (Total of three specialties required) • Minimum 3 years of Ultrasound experience • Recent hospital-based Ultrasound experience (Must have worked in a hospital within the last 6 months) • Recent vascular lab experience (Must have worked as a Vascular Ultrasound Tech within the last 6 months) • Demonstrated experience with: • Scrotum and pelvis • Renal Doppler and renal artery stenosis • Ultrasound-guided biopsies (liver and renal, native and transplanted organs) • Current AHA BLS certification • Ability to float between Portland, OR and Vancouver, WA campuses Credentialing After Selection • MMR vaccine or titer • Hepatitis B vaccine or titer • Varicella vaccine or titer • TB skin test, bloodwork, or chest X-ray • Flu shot • Must initiate VA background screening within 72 hours of selection
