An exciting locum tenens position is available for a skilled OB/GYN physician in the Turner, Oregon area. This ongoing assignment, located in a scenic part of Oregon, requires a dedicated physician to provide exceptional care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Here are the details: Position Overview Role: OB/GYN Physician (Locum Tenens) Location: Near Turner, Oregon Start Date: February 1, 2025 Duration: Ongoing need, with potential extension beyond March Availability: Flexible; two weeks per month preferred Coverage Details Schedule: Primarily 7:30 am to 7:30 pm Call: Beeper call; in-house presence not required but recommended due to frequent activity Setting: Both outpatient and inpatient Holidays Included: New Year's Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Practice Requirements Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN BLS certification required Support Staff: 7 Registered Nurses (RNs) 1 Medical Assistant (MA) Supervision: Required for Advanced Practice Providers Patient Care Responsibilities Patients per Shift: Approximately 20 Annual Deliveries: Approximately 312 Specialty Skills Required: Low-risk and high-risk pregnancy management Fetal heart rate interpretation (NST/CST/FSE) OB ultrasound performance and interpretation (Level I and II) Routine and complicated deliveries, including VBACs, C-sections, and multiple births Gynecological procedures: IUD insertions, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, and minor office procedures Surgical gynecology, including tubal ligation, cystectomy, and laparoscopic procedures Facility Information EMR System: Epic Privileges: Hospital privileges required; temporary privileges not available Trauma Level: Level II Additional Details Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 90 days Travel and Lodging: Vendor-provided insurance; nearby lodging recommendations available Compensation: Competitive locum rates, dependent on experience and availability Why This Opportunity?
