Medical Assistant Location: Corvallis, OR Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,378 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Medical Assistant Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Assistant Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days, no weekends Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Current unencumbered Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic licensure preferred. Certifications: Healthcare Provider BLS required. Must-Have: - Registered or Certified Medical Assistant - Experience and/or training with MS Office - Valid driver's license and auto liability/property damage insurance Description: Provides clinical and clerical support for the Occupational Medicine Department. Greets and answers inquiries for patients and employers. Schedules appointments. Utilizes computer applications for all day-to-day functions. Coordinates the needs of multiple providers and staff. The Occupational Medicine Department serves the health and safety needs of employers and employees. It is designed to meet the specific requirements within different occupations. The department helps employers and employees gain control over work-related injuries. It also provides medical surveillance and employer-requested services. Experience and/or training in medical terminology is preferred. Certification in urine drug screening, breath alcohol, spirometry, and audiometry is preferred. Medical assistant, medical office, and/or billing experience is preferred. Current DOT Collector and Breath Alcohol Technician certifications are preferred.
