Job Description:

Facility is looking Interventional Cardiology support for the below dates. Emergency Credentialing available for candidates holding an OR license and possessing a clean malpractice record.

Schedule/Availability Requirements:

Dates of coverage:

• July 9-12 (could go 13-14th as well)
• August 10-17th
• September (waiting for dates)

Orientation: Day prior to start or morning of

Shift time: 24 hour call and STEMI Call - 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient

Duties:

• Average # of consults- 5 if on general call and 2-6 coronary angiograms per day between inpatient/outpatient
• Patient Mix: 18 yrs. and older
• Patient Clinic Volume: 14-16 patients/day with 30 min appt. slots
• Will locum be required to round: locum will follow their own patients until sign off.
• Will locum be sole provider: 3 general cardiologist, 2 interventional cardiologist, and 1 NP
• Support Staff: Fully staffed office, 1 MA to provider in the clinic
• Anesthesia Support: as needed on inpatient
• Hospitalists services handles all admits
• Cases: STEMI's, Diagnostic Angiograms, PCI's, L&R Heart Caths, IVUS/FFR/IFR

FTE: .5-1.0

Required Procedures: Interventional procedures- PCI/diagnostic caths. Right/left hearts, Echo/Stress Interpretation. Provider would be expected to cover STEMI's and do the PCI's for Diagnostic Caths.

EMR: Meditech with patient keeper interface

Credentialing Information:

Time Frame: 30-120 days- Temp privileges can be granted

Credentialing with other facilities: no

• Board Certification: BC or truly BE in interventional Cardiology Required
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, DEA Required
• License: OR Required
• Fellowship/Residency: Required in Interventional Cardiology
• Malpractice- clean Required for emergency privileges.
• Self-Query NPDB report is mandatory at the time of presentation. The Self-Query NPDB report must be dated within 30 days of the presentation date. - REQUIRED
