and community.Customer Care Area Manager Summary:Responsible for
managerial control and implementation of divisional warranty
programs and corporate service strategies. Supervision of Customer
Care Representative and department administrative
positions.Responsibilities:Supervise and manage Customer Care
Representatives that are handling communities that are near
completion or that have been completed and all communities that are
out of warranty.Standardize warranty and customer care policies and
procedures.Devise departmental operating budgets and assess
sufficiency of corresponding reserve accounts.Work closely with the
Area Construction Managers on assignments and completion of all
service requests and warranty commitments.Keep Director/Vice
President of department informed of potential homeowner issues
where major cost factors may be encountered.Advise purchasing of
trade partner performance or failure to comply with portions of
their contractual warrantable responsibilities.Coordinate with
Sales and Construction Departments for the purpose of assessing
zero defect orientations and closings.Provide direction for
Customer Care Coordinator/Administrative Assistant, ensure that
established procedures are followed for homeowner calls, written
repair requests and communicate information to customer care reps
in a timely manner.Formulate and keep updated warranty manuals,
orientation packages, policies and procedure manuals and homeowner
handbooks.Ensure warranty claim completion within 10 days, 24 hour
notice of service request receipt and zero defect
orientations.Coordinate training programs with Area Construction
Manager and Customer Care Representatives.Perform all other duties
as assigned.Qualifications:Six (6) year of experience in
homebuilding industry in a supervisory capacity requiredThree (3)
years of experience focus in customer service required - homeowner
walkthru, scheduling contractorsHigh school diploma or GED
requiredValid drivers license requiredGood knowledge of
construction practices and techniquesAbility to anticipate and
solve problemsStrong written and verbal communication
skillsPhysical Requirements:Requires the ability to operate a motor
vehicle, read plans, climb stairs, climb ladders, bend, stoop,
reach, lift, move and/or carry equipment which may be in excess of
50 pounds, occasionally operate construction equipment. Finger
dexterity may be required to operate a computer keyboard and
