educating others about technology? Maps Credit Union seeks an
experienced AVP of Digital Strategy. This role ensures quality
member experience by balancing strategic leadership with technical
expertise and driving digital innovation. The AVP of Digital
Strategy manages the Digital team and develops and implements
digital strategies to stay at the forefront of industry trends,
ensuring our digital banking platform continues to evolve in
alignment with member needs and the Credit Union's strategic goals.
Strategic Thinking & Innovation: · In partnership with the CTO,
participate in strategic planning to develop and maintain the
roadmap for digital products. · Identify and leverage market trends
to drive product innovation and increase competitive advantage. ·
Establish and maintain strong partnerships with technology
providers, other credit unions, and fintech companies to keep Maps
at the forefront of digital banking trends and future
opportunities. · Continuously research and understand the
competitive landscape of digital offerings and position Maps at the
forefront. Team Leadership: · Oversee employee development by
providing coaching and guidance and recommending learning and
growth opportunities. · Address employee performance issues by
providing staff with clear and constructive expectations and
feedback. Complete department performance appraisals. · Participate
in recruitment and new hire decisions and manage staff performance
and goals. · Champion a culture of continuous improvement,
encouraging innovation and adopting best practices in digital
banking and fintech. · Lead cross-functional teams to ensure
seamless integration of new technologies and services with existing
banking systems, maintaining high security and compliance
standards. Product Leadership: · Ensure the online and mobile
banking platforms are technologically advanced, intuitive, and
user-friendly, meeting and exceeding the diverse needs of our
members and focusing on human-centered design. · Manage the
existing software application portfolio, ensuring timely delivery,
budget adherence, and alignment with overall business objectives. ·
Collaborate with internal teams, key stakeholders and 3rd party
vendors to design, iterate, and launch member-centric digital
banking features and functionalities. · Regularly collect, review,
and analyze industry data, member feedback, and usage data to
inform continuous product improvements and UI/UX refinement. ·
Build business cases for products, including project scoping and
resource allocation. Project Management: · Act as an internal
project lead, partnering with the Credit Union’s Project Management
Office and outside consultants and vendors to align project scope,
goals, timelines, and deliverables. · Successfully run and
implement digital projects. Collaborate with other leaders to
determine project priority in order to support business
initiatives. · Track project progress and provide timely updates to
stakeholders, manage expectations, and gather feedback. · Identify
potential risks and resolve issues quickly to keep the project on
track. Other Job Functions: · Continually improve professional and
technical knowledge by attending conferences and online training,
following industry trends, and maintaining professional
relationships. · Contribute to attaining Credit Union objectives by
accomplishing related results as assigned. Requirements: Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities Required: 1. Excellent written and oral
communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and
project a professional image when giving and taking information in
writing, in person, and over the phone. 2. Excellent leadership and
communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence
stakeholders at all levels. 3. Accurate typing/keyboarding skills;
extensive computer skills, including knowledge of a variety of
software applications (e.g., Windows, MS Office Suite, and internet
applications). 4. Knowledge and application of digital development
and design tools such UI/UX, Figma, Microsoft Azure Dev Ops, API
integrations, and Jira. 5. Strong understanding of digital banking
platforms, fintech innovations, and emerging technologies. 6.
Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks; good
time-management, problem-prevention, and problem-solving skills. 7.
Ability to remain flexible in order to adapt to changes in the work
environment. 8. Ability to work accurately with close attention to
detail. 9. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive
information. 10. Ability to work with co-workers, members, and
outside agencies professionally and tactfully. 11. Possess a work
ethic that includes neatness, punctuality, and accuracy. 12.
Exhibit a professional, businesslike appearance and demeanor.
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. BS/CS degree in a related field or an equivalent
combination of related education and experience. 2. Minimum of 10
years of progressively responsible experience in leading
digital/financial services or in the fintech sector. 3. Minimum of
3 years of proven supervisory/management experience. 4. Proven
track record in leading and launching successful digital products,
especially in online and mobile banking platforms. 5. Experience in
overseeing the full product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and
iteration. 6. Must be bondable. 7. Must submit to an annual
background investigative report initiated by the Credit Union. The
investigative report will include credit and criminal review, and
results must meet the minimum standards established by the Credit
Union in its hiring practices. Refusal to cooperate with this
required investigative reporting or failure to meet the minimum
standards established may result in immediate employment
termination. Exempt starting salary range: $148,500 - $175,00 per
year, depending on experience. Please note, this is not a remote
