our employees.We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our
team of dedicated employees at our facility in Woodland, WA, as
part of our Burton Mill Solutions division. Come and grow with
us!The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for complex
engineering projects involving the development of manufacturing
methods and processes to efficiently and effectively produce a
variety of company product lines. As the Manufacturing Engineer,
you will investigate, establish, and implement requirements for
equipment, tooling, materials, and methods of manufacturing
including make of buy decisions and facility layout as required for
new or revised product, from pilot runs through normal
production.Pay range for this position is $85,000.00-100,00.00 USD
annually.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Hands-on engineering -
help to design innovative and technically sophisticated machine
tools, using engineering fundamentalsMake engineering calculations
and organization of dataPrepare conceptual sketchesInitiate and
expedite engineering changes resulting from project assignment
evaluationCollaborate with shop supervisors and cross-functional
engineering teams to evaluate and recommend design alternatives
that enhance manufacturability, reduce cost, and improve production
efficiencyEstablish lean promotion in conjunction with Corporate
Lean OfficeSupport continuous improvement and waste elimination
activities at all manufacturing locationsSupport development of
internal training program in lean methodologyCoach and train
employees in lean principlesUtilize Value Stream Maps to identify
areas for Kaizen events and facilitate Kaizen teams during
eventsResponsible for the disposition of inventory when it becomes
obsolete due to product life cycle or engineering changesMake
transaction entries in ERP system to maintain inventory
recordsEstablish purchasing programs that support build-to
orderIdentify components that can be managed with supplier stocking
programs and work with purchasing to implement their useEstablish
build-to-Order techniques that reduce product lead time and
implement their useEstablish Pull Systems to manage build-to-order
componentsDevelop flat BOM structures with "M" phantoms to increase
workflowProcess ECN changes including affectivity dates, product
costs, and BOM changesMake routing changes to accommodate
build-to-order processesWork with VPs and Plant Managers to develop
site plans for each manufacturing plantMinimum Qualifications and
Experience:Bachelor's degree in manufacturing or mechanical
engineering3+ years' experience in plant/operations or equivalent
work experiencePractical knowledge of machining, fabrication,
electrical circuits, and general machine design principles and
componentsEngineering fundamentals and principlesSolidworks
experiencePractical knowledge of machining, fabrication, electrical
circuits, and general machine design principles and
componentsDemonstrate Lean Manufacturing PrincipalsExcellent
leadership skills with a strong sense of urgency, ability to
