Legacy Health is actively seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our multifaceted healthcare team. This role involves supporting occupational therapists in implementing therapy plans for patients in various settings across our health system, including hospitals and outpatient clinics. The ideal candidate will demonstrate passion for patient care, exhibit a strong proficiency in therapy techniques, and uphold our commitment to helping patients achieve their highest level of physical and mental functioning. Assist in the execution of patient care plans as established by the occupational therapist. Document patient progress and any changes in treatment plans. Educate patients and families on home programs and necessary adjustments. Maintain therapy equipment, ensuring all items are ready for patient use. Participate in patient assessments and team meetings to discuss care plans and progress. Adhere to all healthcare regulations and maintain patient confidentiality. Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and interventions Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team and independently Proficiency with healthcare IT systems Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license. Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). CPR certification.
